Student policies section: Cancellations & Refund Policy For birth and postpartum doula:
A full refund minus a $150 cancellation fee is available up to one week from the date of purchase for pay in full students. After one week OR if you have accessed more than 5% of the self-paced program material, there are no refunds. In addition you will be also charged $50 book fee and $50 rebozo fee for any book or rebozo that might have been mailed out to you and will not receive that portion from your refund amount. For fast-track zoom classes, if you sign up within 7-days of our live class - there is no refund because of the nature of the course. If you enrolled early, then the 7-day refund policy minus $150 applies and book fees and rebozo fees as above apply. Doula Combo Class package deal: If you invest in a package deal (of more than one doula course) and change your mind after one week, you will be charged the full price for any portion of the package where you accessed 5% or more of the course materials. In addition, $70 for the books and shipping, $50 rebozo fee, and a $150 cancellation fee will be subtracted from your refund amount. Payment Plan students: If you are payment plan student and your first payment was $150 or less - then there is not a refund (because most classes are around $150 down payment) if you change your mind within the first week and you maybe charged further fees for rebozo and book if they have been mailed out to you already. You can opt-out of not being obligated for future payments if you contact us in writing within the first 7 days to tell us you have changed your mind. Drop Class Fees: If you are co-enrolled in a package deal or doing a payment plan for doula package (more than one course) then we can charge a $150 drop fee if you choose to drop a course and not continue paying on it (if payment plan). This mostly pertains to payment plan students. The drop fee will be charged at any time during a payment plan period. If you simply changed your mind on one course within 7-days then the previous above statements apply. Thank you. Other class policies: Pilot programs like Lacta-Herbalist and Our Lady of Dreams coaching, Magnificat Holistic Woman's course and Mommy Latch have no refund policy since these are new programs. Magnificat Classes: (Fertility doula and Childbirth Educator) that cost $300 or more will follow above same policies. Smaller classes that cost less than $300 there is no refunds. That includes the bereavement doula training program, rebozo classes, smaller herbal or doula business courses. Thank you. Note: All cancellations or requests for any refunds must be in writing via email to [email protected] and addressed to Julie Larsen. Also, note there are absolutely no refunds after the 7 day period, 14 -day, 30 day period after enrolling in any program $300 or more. There are no refunds on classes less than $300. Also, if a student receives a scholarship and pays less on a class, there is no refunds too. I have had request in past usually around the 30 day mark and that is just too late. If there is anyway we can make the doula class experience more enjoyable, we would love to help you in your path. If you would like to gift another student wannabe (we have a list of students who need help), then we would appreciate your donation to the fund if you changed your mind. Thank you. Terms for live classes:
Our live classes take up alot more of our time and we appreciate your patience.
You agree to be video taped and we have rights to share all videos with any students in our class and video feed. We might use module one video for promotional purposes - but not any of the other ones.
We do not offer refunds for live classes, but you can switch to self-pace version at anytime.
We do not have a classroom usually for live class - you need to come to the zoom meeting calls and we will present the material live for that particular class (Lives also may include mini-classes such as herbs, rebozo, business, etc.) We usually do the fast-track postpartum or birth live in a seasonal format.
We will send you a list of expected homework to turn in and once you finish the homework and certification requirements you are fully certified doula! All assignments maybe emailed to our email or sent to classrooms.
Regular (birth doula/postpartum doula)
Live class expectations of students:
*Show up on time.
*Listen to lecture
*Participate in discussions (as time allows)
*Take notes for quizzes over materials.
*Have fun!
*No refunds on class after payment.
Mini-Live Class expectations:
If you signed up for Herbs, Rebozo, or Business class:
*Show up for the class
*Take notes - we may still have a quiz.
*Participate in discussions
* Herbal classes expect an herbal item to be made - see Hart Song Herbal School for more information as we have moved the classes to there as it is a collaborative effort.

Pro-Life Pledge for birth and postpartum and bereavement students only (though other students may make the pledge if so desired)....
Pro-Life Affirming Pledge for doulas to sign at certification:
We are editing this - because someone non-Catholic can become a doula with our program.
1. I agree to be a life bearing and honoring mothers and babies doula from the moment of conception.
2. I agree to the Scope of Practice statements of Catholic doula program - see scope of practice for birth doula here. (Postpartum doula scope coming soon).
3. I agree that abortion is wrong and I agree not to assist at or help with an abortion including medical reasons. Miscarriages are not an abortion and should be treated with respect. Thank you. (This also means you do not drive someone to an abortion clinic. )
4. Surrogacy is a broad subject with many pitfalls. We personally feel that this is out of scope of our Catholic doulas. If you feel you are called to support this - please note that you may want to have another certification to back you on that. Thanks.
5. We believe in using the words "mother/mom/mama" for mother. We refer to "father" as "father/dad/partner" throughout the course. We are Biblical based training - and if this offends you - this is not the course for you.
6. As Catholic Doulas we believe contraception is wrong and we only teach NFP in our course work. Protestants taking the class will go by their church teaching on this issue.
