Student policies section:

Please fill out appropriate jot "student contract" form:
https://form.jotform.com/242716926281057

Most digital products and doula classes do not offer refund policies as of 9/28/2024 - we are changing this to 3 day period. This will be now called your "student contract." You must sign your student contract before accessing course materials. Thank you.
Anyone who signed up previous may go by the previous enrollment policies. Thank you.
Full terms and conditions below (subject to change):

As a self-paced or fast-track zoom student student you have 3 days after paying to look over our agreement before entering a classroom or seeing course materials and agree to our terms. If BEFORE 3 days, you have changed your mind, you will receive a full refund minus any fees that apply from our square processing place as long as you have not entered classroom with exception of pilot programs as they are non-refundable. If books or rebozo have been ordered, then they must be returned in original condition to us at your expense. All requests for refunds must be in an email in writing. If you choose to enter classroom or choose to ask for files or modules for class before 3 days is up, there are no refunds after this. Pilot program classes are considered non-refundable from day one (these classes are currently Magnificat Holistic Woman's Course, Gratia Plena Childbirth, Our Lady of Dreams, Mommy Latch or Mommy Latch Lacta-Herbalist course.) Zoom class policies: Terms of service agreement: By registering, you acknowledge reading and agreeing to these policies. This virtual workshop requires your full presence, with sound and camera capabilities turned on. It is imperative that you provide the correct shipping address above when registering or you will need to pay for a second set of materials. All zoom classes will be recorded and you agree to be recorded. All zoom classes are usually in central time. No video, audio, or screen recordings are allowed. There are no refunds on our live workshops once you have entered classroom and/or seen materials (or per information as stated above within 7 days of paying for class). Trainer's photos may be used for online/print promotion. Transfer dates of zoom workshops:  transfer to another Catholic doula-sponsored course within a year of registration, with a $200 fee if requested within 14 days of the class start date or within reasonable time. If we have moved the dates for a workshop there are no fees.  We have the right to change dates at last minute notice of any fast-track workshop or delay the meeting dates (if weekly meetups) in order to allow other participants to enter or for other personal reasons, sickness, etc. If delaying for any reason, we plan to give as much notice as possible (for example 48 hours). If a workshop is rescheduled, you can opt for recordings or self-paced format if you cannot attend the zoom class (we will waive any fees due to us rescheduling). All workshop participants will agree to start at the next opportune time if we are rescheduling a workshop. Participants can opt-in for recorded workshop without any penalties. No chargebacks allowed for any reason at all. If you are not satisfied for any reason, please contact us - but our policies of refunds will stand. See books/rebozo section below.
Your responsibility:  You are responsible for understanding the terms of agreement and agreeing to them. You are responsible for asking about timing of class and knowing your time zone. All our classes are usually in central time. You are responsible to come to any live/zoom class if offered or show up for your self-paced class. You are responsible to ask questions of the teacher/instructor. You are responsible for being present.  Participants agree to read ahead as much as possible from their books/manuals before class begins (if zoom class - or we may assign readings). Students are expected to come to class in a timely manner and attend all class dates. Missing a class incurs a $50 fee, and you can reschedule by contacting the instructor unless the instructor has heard from you within 24 hours before class that you need a recording for that session then we waive any fees. If teacher gets sick within 10 minutes of class, she may not be able to text or email you - just wait for an email from the instructor and we will start as soon as possible (zoom classes only).  If she needs to cancel and reschedule class, she will do so. The instructor may reschedule anything at the last minute - remember I am a doula too. The instructor may cancel due to low enrollment, offering a switch to a preferred class time or day without extra fees. Tickets are non-transferable. International participants will receive virtual materials or opt to pay shipping differences. We have right to include our teenage daughter to help demonstrate any rebozo techniques or use any videos that we deem necessary to display. Zoom class participants must agree to terms for zoom classes- see policies below. Another part of this agreement is that you are to respect the teacher and this training institute. If you have a complaint, we would like you to contact us directly about an issue and not go behind our backs and gossip – be charitable. If you have an institution, birth center or some other "funding" source for your class, then we need to contact them directly and talk with them in order to know when payment will be sent or mailed to us. If you or any funding person are mailing a check to us, a check must be here within 10 days before any zoom class date, or you will have to reschedule your class date. We prefer to be paid through our website.
If you have any issues enrolling, please email [email protected] and we can invoice you. If you have any issues with a classroom logging in, etc. we will do our best to help but some of the platforms we use are not in our control. You can ask Google or Thinkific for password recovery help (or future platform if we choose a different location). Materials for our classes: We also have copyrighted materials and you are not able to share our materials with anyone else.  Materials can be downloaded usually from classroom. Materials can be in various formats from Power Point slides or PDF booklets. You may print our PDF booklets if you ask permission first. Videos and/or rebozo workshops: We have a right to use our teenage daughter in videos that we present for some comfort techniques which maybe previous recorded. We have right to use any videos we deem necessary for our classes.
Books: All books and other items that maybe promised to you for class will not be mailed out till you sign this agreement form. If something was mailed before then, we have right for cost of materials taken out of any refund requests. Not every class receives a book, so please look at the package you have chosen. Once we have ordered your book(s)and/or other items (like a rebozo) then you also will not be refunded for those items. If an item is lost, we are not responsible for lost items and you must pay or re-order materials if lost - you must give us valid mailing address. We assume that you agreeing to our terms means you are ready to start our classes and having a rocking great time becoming a doula, childbirth educator, or coach! Thank you.

Pro-Life Pledge is a "request" of our birth and postpartum and bereavement students - read below:

Pro-Life Affirming Pledge for doulas to sign at certification:
We are editing this - because someone non-Catholic can become a doula with our program.
1. I agree to be a life bearing and honoring mothers and babies doula from the moment of conception.
2. I agree to the Scope of Practice statements of Catholic doula program - see scope of practice for birth doula here. (Postpartum doula scope coming soon).
3. I agree that abortion is wrong and I agree not to assist at or help with an abortion including medical reasons.  Miscarriages are not an abortion and should be treated with respect. Thank you. (This also means you do not drive someone to an abortion clinic. )

4. Surrogacy is a broad subject with many pitfalls. We personally feel that this is out of scope of our Catholic doulas. If you feel you are called to support this - please note that you may want to have another certification to back you on that. Thanks.
5.  We believe in using the words "mother/mom/mama" for mother. We refer to "father" as "father/dad/partner" throughout the course.  We are Biblical based training - and if this offends you - this is not the course for you.
6. As Catholic Doulas we believe contraception is wrong and we only teach NFP in our course work. Protestants taking the class will go by their church teaching on this issue.

I _________accept the terms of this Pro-life doula pledge and life affirming pledge.

7. Magnificat Course students do not have to sign a pro-life pledge; however, we are pro-life minded. We do hope to make scope of practice statements soon for those classes. Thank you.

Read Birth Doula Scope of Practice statement on this page.
We are still working on a postpartum one so postpartum students will  just follow the birth one for now and ask instructor for any additions related to postpartum work!
