Our manual "Comfort in Birth Method" is still required and will be in the classroom and sent over PDF - no need to purchase anything. 
New books required to read:
1.
The Gift of Birth: Discerning God's Presence During Childbirth by Susan Windley-Daoust (Counts for spiritual book). Includes information of Theology of the Body, Motherhood as a Gift, etc. 
2. Help Her Be Brave: Discover Your Place in the Pro-Life Movement by Amy Ford (Counts for pro-life book.)
Recommended reading: 
Birth Trauma Related book for our Trauma Informed training - we will have a list for you to choose from on this. 
Breastfeeding book "Boost Your Breastmilk" is recommended - you may choose another book. You receive access to "Mommy Latch" Basics for Doulas class - almost a CLC training (if you want full you can ask about our full course option)...

  • Final Exam is optional - Send in your portfolio of final assignments and you are certified. (Includes community project/birth attendance.) 
  • ​Possible Bonus 8 coming in 2025 about fighting the abortion industry as a doula! 
  • New 2026 Certification Requirements: 1. Interview 3 mothers about birth (you do not have to be their doula), 2. Resource list of 10-20 sources, 3. Attend our new Trauma Informed Training (Google Classroom), 4. Attend our Breastfeeding for doulas "Mommy Latch" basics for doulas (if you are experienced at breastfeeding we can waive this but we still recommend), 5. Attend a childbirth class or review our Birthing With Grace class (at least one module), 6. Book Reviews (Around 4-5) - We will be requiring certain books for 2026 - please message Julie at [email protected] for information, 7. Community project - this can include attending one birth and offering a special project for your community - what students have done in past: Volunteer hours at local pregnancy resource center, thrown a community baby shower, diaper drive for community, Mother Churching ceremony helper, etc. We ask for 20 hours minimum. You can include working on a blog or website as part of the hours if so desired. 8. Attend one birth as mentioned - for Medicaid students you will still need to prove to Medicaid you attended 3 births - but we can send certification if needed sooner. 9. 50 Doula Terms/Definitions to be turned in by end of class. We highly suggest a Portfolio of all activities put into one file and sent to us at end of course. Final Exam is being updated - it is optional extra credit at the moment. Older students may opt-in for a Final Exam to finish up their course faster.

Student receives access and following items:

  4. Digital certificate when finished - if you want a print one there will be a small print fee - otherwise no other fees are required in our course
  5. Access to 6 months of Awesome Doula Club

Note: We do ask for shipping on this since we are sending our rebozo - that's about $21.00. If for some reason you cannot pay that with the first payment reach out to me and I can send you a different link.


No refunds after 3 days - you sign our student contract policy agreeing to this.

We will send payment plan reminder once a month close to original enrollment date.
