Overland Park, KS Workshop information:This is going to be our first in person workshop for 2024! The title of our workshop is Labor Strategies and Rebozo Workshop. We will be covering Level A and B from our Royal Rebozoway course as well as adding in extra Labor Strategies from my book "Comfort in Birth Method".
*************** Here are some of the strategies we will cover: * Anatomy of Labor: Understanding this can help mothers know more about how to help baby come out faster. *Birth and Maternal positioning for labor: Understanding positions for labor better. *Using the Rebozo Shawl for better positioning and techniques for relaxation (Level A). *Using the Rebozo Shawl for advanced techniques for laboring and pushing (Level B and a little bit of Level C - the pushing part will be covered). *Using the COMFORT in BIRTH Method Acronym to help mothers have a better birth! ******************* Doulas who join this workshop can apply for continuing education units of 3 CEU's for Catholic Doula Program students and possibly if you are with another organization (you will have to ask them if it counts - we will not be applying officially with anyone as most want a 60 day heads up). ******************** Cost for this workshop for doulas is $75 early bird up to January 6th, 2024. Please consider registering early! Regular price is $85 up to the 12th. $100 at the door price for doulas. Since this is an In-Person Workshop: you will need to sign our liability waiver and workshop form and return to us after you register and pay for the workshop. You may request this form before signing up if so desired. For this workshop; there will be a no refund policy after 30 days before the course start date (so December 13th is no refunds) and if someone requests a refund before then - a $25 courtesy fee will be applied and will not be returned. Thank you for understanding. If weather issues come up in January, we will reschedule to the following Saturday or reasonable date after that most agree upon and there will not be a refund. We hope that you can keep this in mind and have two weekends open just in case of weather. We will give out exact location to workshop after you pay as this is a private residence and do not want to advertise location to the world. Thank you. FAQ about the class:
1. Is there any refunds? We will offer a refund up to December 13, 2023, but there will be a $25 courtesy fee - so you will only receive $50 back if you change your mind - this is only for our in person workshop will we offer such a refund. After December 13, there are no refunds. If weather issues come up or sickness - we will reschedule to following weekend most likely or some time within reason that majority agree upon who signed up for workshop; we will not do refunds for weather - we will reschedule. 2. What do I receive - what format is this class? We will have in person workshop with handouts and we may send PDF/Power Point slides as well to participants.
3. Is there a certification for doulas? Yes, doulas can get a certificate for Level A and B from this in person workshop - we do cover a little bit of pushing from Level C - but you would need to take the rest of Level C/D Workshop for full certification.
5. Can I teach other doulas? Not with any of our regular workshops; we can put together an in person workshop that covers ALL of our Royal Rebozoway teaching techniques and you pay $950 for this and a 6 week mentoring/coaching; after that we can certify you to teach. The coaching part will be via online. Thank you.
6. Do I have to be Catholic to signup for a workshop? No, but women are only welcome to all in person and online events. Thank you.
