Rebozo Bone-Closing Class

Descriptions of Level C and D: 
​Level C Part A: Pushing Labor Techniques Rebozo-Assisted Pushing
  • Wrap the rebozo under the mother's thighs or around her back.
  • Gently pull the rebozo to provide leverage and support during pushes.
  • Door-Assisted Pushing: 
  • The mother ties rebozo to door and uses this to help with pushing.
Rebozo Sifting
  • Use the rebozo to gently "sift" or shake the mother's belly
  • This can help encourage the baby to descend and rotate.
Benefits of Pushing Rebozo Techniques
  • Enhances the mother's pushing efforts
  • Helps the baby navigate the birth canal
  • Reduces the risk of perineal tearing
  • Level C Part B: Bone Closing Rebozo:
  • History of bone closing rebozo.
  • Step-by-step instructions for performing the bone closing technique.
  • This technique is helpful for postpartum pelvic and hip realignment.
  • Optimal timing for the bone closing technique (e.g. immediately after birth, 2-6 weeks postpartum)
  • Tips for proper body positioning and rebozo placement.
  • Level D Baby Rebozo Techniques: 
  • Benefits of using the rebozo to soothe and calm infants
  • Techniques for rolling and wrapping babies in the rebozo
  • Rebozo Techniques for Colic Relief: Using the rebozo to mimic the comfort of the womb. Step-by-step instructions for the rolling/wrapping technique. Tips for helping fussy, colicky babies find relief. 
     Baby wearing with the Rebozo: Advantages of using a rebozo for hands-free baby carrying. Proper positioning and tying techniques for secure baby wearing. Safety considerations when wearing babies in a rebozo. ​

What's included in our class? 
Level C: Pushing - we cover the pushing techniques for labor (as mentioned above.)

Level C: Bone Closing Rebozo - First we cover the history of the technique and cover information about various cultures and their beliefs (we do not have to agree with a cultures belief systems - but it is fascinating information - so we respect their cultures.) We then will show some videos about how to do the bone closing ceremony and discuss a more Christian way to perform this ceremony.
Level D: We will cover Baby rebozo - how to carry babies in rebozo and our special "rebozo" baby technique. Video will be shown.
Time: Plan for an hour and half of class. If participants need a Q and A - please send us questions before class and we will attempt to find time to answer and/or answers will be sent via email after the class. We have limited time for this class and we pretty much use all minutes for the presentation. 
All participants will receive our download slides BEFORE the class to give you plenty of time to look over everything.
