I was going to mention in my recent newsletter about the Joy of Baptism - I just became a godmother for the first time! I had a very dear friend give birth to her #6 baby and she was happy to have my husband and I as godparents for their little girl. I felt so blessed. It was a moment in time that just went too fast - even with the Latin Mass verison of baptism and the longer formula and exorcisms! I held the fussy baby throughout the ceremony and couldn't believe it! Baby was happier with mama when ceremony was over! I did get to hold her later when she was 😴sleeping - she was so sweet! Anyway, reflecting on Baptism kind of helps our Faith. As godparents, we step in and repeat the words like "I seek Faith" and recite the Creed and "agree to condemn Satan and his works or allurements" - it was a special day for sure! As doulas or mamas who are thinking about doula work, we can think about how Baptism is a new beginning and training to become a doula is also a new beginning. Our class for postpartum doula zoom class is coming in October (if enough enrollment) - read about postpartum doula course here. We also are considering like 2 weekends in a row training for birth doula in November - read about birth doula. We will also always have our self-paced open with recordings. Other Events - We have decided to open up some other events in October - I am going to be offering - 2 different dates for End of Life Doula 101 Doula Introductory class - will make if one person enrolls. October-November Bundle Event for Birth or Postpartum doulas: I am planning about 3 events for birth/postpartum doulas - Belly Binding Class w/bonus womb massage this time around, Rebozo Level A/B, and Business Masterclass - if you join all 3 - you can receive a bundle special savings on the 3 events - these events will take place from Oct-November before the holidays! One person enrolls makes all our smaller events. Page coming soon for this! January or February 2027 (Dates to be announced) - Our Fiat to Flourish Event will begin - a 5 week group mentoring for doulas (birth or postpartum welcome - any Faith - but we will have some Catholic points in each week. We will be setting up a page and information about this and decide on dates soon for this too. It will be like having a doula retreat weekly and getting clarity in your doula business - includes a booklet and more! Page coming in future! I will announce more in a couple of days the dates for these events and hope you can come to these events. Do you need more information now? Email [email protected] for information.

Welcome readers new and old: We are going to be planning out our blog soon and will have a theme a month - like next month we will have the Bereavement Theme since October 15th is Miscarriage Rememberance day. Also, October ends with All Hallows Eve or the Eve of All Saints - so we will have a saintly focus as well towards the end of the month. November's theme can reflect Thanksgiving and All Souls praying for the souls in Purgatory. December of course will be focused on Advent and Christmas season for instance. As far as "class themes" go - we will be focusing on our postpartum doula zoom class starting in October - so we will have an early bird special. October we will also have a special for the Miscarriage month on our Bereavement Miscarriage loss class. In November, we are planning a focus more on birth doula and a possible shorter weekend training for birth doulas - or maybe an in person training - to be announced! December we will have my annual birthday sale and offer discounts on courses for my birthday (December 1st). (This will probably start early near Black Friday and end Dec. 1st.) We have decided to do some changes soon on course pricing - but we think we will wait till beginning of the year. I want to offer something easier for lower income mothers - so I am thinking of a course restructioning - like a certificate of completion class (not a certification) for curious mothers or women who want to learn about doula work but do not feel the need to be certified (like they only want to help family members or friends in birth work.) The materials and information will be much the same but requirements will be different. We will still offer a certifiacation courses as well, but this way we can offer something lower priced and if the student decides they want to add on certification later - it will just be one price extra and simple steps to finish. We also will be editing our Spirituality of doula course and offering this course again for women who are doulas already somewhere else and want to add in a spiritual component for supporting mothers. So, we hope these ideas will help bring in students who would not have signed up - decide to join a course for "I want to learn" but not "support outside my family" for now. The certificate of completion student can still add in certification later if so desired. I am excited to offer this and I want to support women who want to learn about doula work. Ok all for now, God Bless, Julie |
