St. Anne Breastfeeding Course Features:
Overview of this Course:
The St. Anne Breastfeeding Course is designed for mothers and doulas to learn basics of breastfeeding. We award a certificate that you finished this course when done with the 4 module course.
We are offering it at a really low cost for our pilot program.
The course is designed to take up to 4-5 weeks or longer to finish. (One week per module) Enroll Today!
We do offer self-pace, so if you are taking this course after you had your precious baby, then you can go at a slower rate! Mothers will have less work to do in each module; doulas will have to do all work unless stated specifically for a mother to work on. All participants will still receive the Breastfeeding Basics Certificate when finished!
We will be using Eliademy classroom for now-- however, if we change in future it might be through Blackboard. So, we leave the option of the word "Classroom" in the modules. You will receive an invite via email to get into the classroom.
Books required include:
Books for this course that are needed. You will need to purchase 2 books for this course.
1. Getting Started with Breastfeeding for Catholic Mothers by Gina Peterson
2. The Breastfeeding Mother's Guide to Making More Milk by Diana West and Lisa Marasco
If any doula takes the postpartum course and goes through the B.L.O.O.M. portion where we use the Peterson book, you may skip assignments related to that book here then and still receive your certificate.
Mothers taking the course will need both books above unless you have been a La Leche League leader or something like that then we are willing to waive some requirements.
